Must-Do Activities

What to expect: Beaches with multiple peaks; there are waves for beginners (southern sandbar) and more
advanced breaks at the edges. Schools offer 1.5–2 hour lessons with a board, rash guard, and guide.
Tips: Best time is in the morning (cleaner waves and fewer people). Bring biodegradable sunscreen and water.
Book in advance during high season.
Level: From beginner to advanced. Many schools also rent boards by the hour or day.

Stand Up Paddle (SUP) & Kayak
What to do: Morning paddles in the bay; guided tours to see the coastline and birds. Perfect for those who want
light activity + great photos.
Tips: Rent a board with a life vest; avoid midday due to strong sun. Many places offer beginner classes.

Artisan Market & Local Shopping
What to expect: Stalls with Huichol textiles, boho clothing, silver jewelry, and workshops where you can watch
artisans at work.
Tips: Bring cash. Shopping at markets supports the local economy.

Boat Trips / Snorkeling & Nearby Beach Excursions
What to do: Short trips to nearby beaches (small islands or coves), or snorkeling tours. Half-day sport fishing is
also an option.
Tips: Ask if equipment, food, and drinks are included; check operator reviews.

Yoga & Wellness

combine with surfing.
